Schools Work Experience at Creative Artistry
Work experience placements normally involve students shadowing a professional around to see how and what is involved in their daily work. We encourage Pupils to Get Creative!
St Bedes Catholic School year 11 pupil Daisy Dreha has spent the week working in the studio at Creative Artistry, she was asked to come up with ideas and subjects that we could develop into workshops for children.
She has been involved in Brainstorming, Sketching various Concepts capturing the main shapes, forms and core ideas for the workshops. Daisy came up with an idea for workshops based around Woody Woodpecker and a family of cats she had visualised and thought they would be exciting and fun for children to make using a range of our products.
Using her designs Daisy, has made various sculptures and art pieces in a range of shapes and created texture and form using our Sculpt-ment & Theme-crete Clay to make her designs in 2D & 3D. Using techniques such as slab building, pinching, coiling, press moulding, surface texturing and carving.
She has also learnt the various ways to cure Sulpt-ment and Theme-crete clays and then painted her finished pieces.
Daisy has a great imagination and hopes to one day have a career in animation, she is very quick to put her ideas onto paper in either 2D or 3D. We hope we have played a part in helping her follow her dream.
